The Roma Inclusion Project organised a celebration to mark international Roma Day to promote greater inclusion and stronger intercultural ties within County Clare.

Approximately 80 members of the Roma Community attended. Music, dancing, face painting and art took place. This was an opportunity to inform members of the community about programme ideas as well as providing information on training and educational opportunities through our SICAP team.

The outcome of this event is a list of programmes to be organised including a men’s health and fitness group, art classes for families, a womens’ activity programme. Another outcome of the event was identifying women within the Roma Community who are interested in working with the project to promote more involvement of women with the Roma Inclusion Project.
