Cairde Beag

In Cairde Beag we provide a safe, fun, secure nurturing learning environment. We offer a play based emergent curriculum informed by the practices of Aistear (National Early Childhood Curriculum) and Siolta (National Early Childhood Quality Framework).

We use a child-led approach allowing us to plan for the child’s development, strengths and interests, in a fun and meaningful way. We recognise each child as an individual and plan for them taking into account their growing strengths, interests, abilities and needs.

Staff development is a priority and in order to support our staff in their role we are constantly searching for best training opportunities. All staff are required to make themselves available for training and must undergo Garda vetting. Staff are trained internally and externally with areas such as First Aid, Child Protection, Manual Handling, Food Safety, Fire Safety and courses which provide new skills or education in the Childcare field covered.

An in-house chef prepares quality home cooked meals in our own kitchen with the best ingredients and specially tailored to the needs of the children.

Cairde Beag is a not for profit organisation, a registered charity under the management of the Clare Local Development Company.
