Clare Traveller Community Development Project (CDP) are collaborating with Women’s Collective Clare to host an inspirational day highlighting local women’s achievements on their road to leadership, in celebration of International Women’s Day. Women across Clare are warmly invited to join us on the 5th of March, at Cloughleigh Community Centre in Ennis, from 10am to 2:30 p.m.
The day will include a Panel Discussion with local women from diverse backgrounds, each representing marginalised voices from across the county. They will speak about the important role that women’s solidarity played in supporting their journeys into leadership. The discussion will be followed by an interactive workshop exploring Mindfulness and Expressive Arts, delivered by a locally-based integrative life coach.
“In a world full of negativity and blame, this event is a reflection of the many strands of positivity that result from solidarity amongst women,” says Maja Syncerz, a Community Outreach Worker with the Traveller CDP.
There will be lunch and refreshments served. Attendees are also invited to bring a favourite ethnic dish of their choice, if they wish.
The Clare Traveller CDP is hosted and supported by Clare Local Development Company (CLDC). For more information, visit CLDC’s website www.CLDC.ie. Or for further details, contact Maja Syncerz (087 247 6093) at the CDP.
