We have received some queries about the new energy upgrade grants recently announced by SEAI. CLDC’s Community Energy Mentor, Lorraine Power, while not dealing with individual home energy grants, would like to point interested householders in the right direction towards applying for grants and creating a warmer, healthier and more comfortable home.

Sustainable Energy Communities Update
The MidWest SouthWest Community Energy Mentors are pleased to announce their calendar of events for the coming months.
- SEC Information Clinics: On Monday 7th February at 7.30pm, we are running a one-hour online drop-in clinic for new or potential SEC’s. So if your community is wondering how to become a Sustainable Energy Community or you’re a newly registered/inactive SEC and don’t know how to progress, this session is for you. It is a chance to ask questions and learn from the experiences of other groups. Click here to book your free place. We will have repeat drop-in clinics at 7.30pm on Monday 7th March and Monday 4th April.
- Community Energy Plan Workshop: For those SEC groups in County Clare thinking about applying for a 100% SEAI-funded Community Energy Plan, we will be running a one-hour online information session on how to apply for and complete your Community Energy Plan. Monday 21st February, 7.30pm
- Solar PV talk: – everything you need to know about installing Solar PV in your home. Facilitated online by Xavier Dubuisson, Energy Consultant. Monday 21st March, 7.30pm
