Course Aim 

Build On You …. One Step at a Time 

To offer you an opportunity to take some time to support you to focus on yourself, your well-being, to look at how you want to live your life and to build the foundations needed for you to move forward, one step at a time. 

 

Course Content

This workshop looks at your self-esteem, strengths, communication with yourself and others and your connection with others. 

This will include:

  • How our thinking and habits can affect our self -confidence
  • Steps you can take to alter this to improve your confidence
  • And simple tips which will support you on a daily basis to improve your self-confidence for a better life

 

Outcome

This workshop is designed to build YOU up, get to know yourself a little better and inspire you to take the next step in YOUR life! 

 

Course Duration

One workshop delivered over two mornings, 2.5 hours each.

A small in-person group that aims to offer a fun, interactive and informative workshop in a safe and nurturing environment. 

 

Cost: €0.00. This course is fully funded under SICAP.

LTI Horticulture
Level 5
Individuals who want to gain the Major Award at QQI Level 5 in Horticulture must complete 9 QQI modules.

The course is full-time running for 5 days a week for 40 weeks.

LTI Motor Technology

Motor Technology

Due to the on-going restrictions in place due to Covid-19, the start date of this course has been deferred until further notice. It is envisaged that the QQI Level 5 Motor Technology will come back on stream around September 2020

The overall aim of the programme is to provide the learner with the opportunity to develop the required knowledge, skills and competence in motor technology in order to meet the standards set by the awarding body in the award specification for Motor Technology level 5

The course is delivered over 38 weeks. This is a FULL TIME programme.

Classes will run each morning from approximately 9.15am to 4.15pm from Monday to Thursday and 9:15am to 2:45pm on Fridays.

This course will be held in Ennis.

It is offered by Clare Local Development Company in partnership with LCETB.

Community & Voluntary Sponsor Groups

Community & Voluntary Sponsor groups throughout Clare are supported in the roll out of activities, care and maintenance of facilities and building of their capacity through the provision of skilled personnel from the RSS & Tús schemes. Countywide, these schemes support over 190 groups. CLDC’s Evaluation & Review Committee oversee the admission of groups to the scheme and ensure that these groups adhere to the guidelines set out by DEASP. Application forms are completed by Sponsor Groups with details of roles available. Local RSS/Tús Supervisors liaise with groups to assess their suitability and capacity.
Specific work placements are agreed between the local RSS/Tús Supervisors and approved Sponsor Groups prior to a participant being placed.

Start Your Own Business – 8 Week Course

CLDC delivers a programme which sets out basic grounding to individuals who wish to start their own business, from the development of the initial idea, to common dangers and pitfalls to taking your product to market and encouraging individuals to focus on their strengths while critically reflecting on areas that need to be addressed when developing a business idea.
The course runs for 2.5 hours per week for 8 weeks. It is a non accredited course for individuals who are long term unemployed.

This course is aimed at individuals who are Long Term Unemployed or who have been made redundant and would like to see their skills used to generate self-employment opportunities. 8 week course that can be delivered county wide.
