We Are Hiring! Roma Peer Support – Health Link Worker (Part-time)

Clare Local Development Company (CLDC) is recruiting a Roma Peer Support – Health Link Worker to support Roma families in Co. Clare to access health services and information.

In this role you will:

  • Do outreach in the community and build trust and relationships
  • Provide health information and signposting (medical card applications, GP registration, PPSN, etc.)
  • Support Roma community members to access wider health services (dentist, speech and language therapy, national screening programmes, etc.)
  • Help organise health-focused activities and events with the Roma Inclusion Project

Key points:

  • Peer role: you must be a member of the Roma community in Co. Clare
  • 12 hours per week (Monday–Thursday), based at CLDC, Westgate Business Park, Ennis
  • Hourly rate linked to the current minimum wage: €14.15 per hour
  • Good spoken and written English and ability to use social media are essential
  • Interest in health/fitness/nutrition, Czech/Slovak translation, and a full driving licence are desirable
