Connecting Clare Communities

A collaborative initiative to support community groups in Clare

CLDC collaborates with the Clare Volunteer Centre, and the Clare PPN, in an effort to support the communities around us. Our aim is to bring resources, inspiration, support, skills, and knowledge-sharing to the hard-working volunteers, activists, members of community groups, community leaders, and charity trustees. We’re in the second year of this initiative and have exciting programmes on the horizon!

Other CLDC programmes that provide support for community groups:

Community & Voluntary groups throughout Clare are supported through the provision of skilled personnel to assist in their ongoing work. CLDC manages programmes which provide work placements with local groups, at no cost to the group. Participants assist in the roll-out of activities, care and maintenance of facilities, and building of the group’s capacity.  Countywide, these schemes support over 190 groups.
