Clare Local Development Company (CLDC), partnering with Nature Network Ireland, continues its free Citizen Science Biodiversity series following successful January sessions. Secure your spot soon for February’s engaging webinars and field trips to contribute to local conservation efforts.
February Schedule
- Wed, Feb 11, 7–9pm GMT: Online “Irish Water and Habitats” webinar explores rivers, lakes, wetlands & coasts with quizzes & case studies. Led by Rachel Dowling.
- Wed, Feb 18, 7–9pm GMT: Online “Native and Invasive Species” webinar covers impacts, removal methods & ID skills via interactive exercises. Led by Rachel Dowling.
- Sat, Feb 21, 10am–1:30pm GMT: “Hands-on Invertebrate Workshop” starts at CLDC Ennis offices, then Ballyalla Lake for sampling with nets and trays. Led by Albert Nolan; pre-book and bring sturdy footwear.

The series extends through 2026 with monthly webinars on Irish habitats (land & water) and invasives, plus field trips such as Lough Graney in March.
