Save the Dates: Connecting Clare Communities

Connecting Clare Communities is continuing to support local volunteers, community groups and organisations across County Clare with practical, accessible learning opportunities.

The programme is designed around the real needs of communities, helping groups to build skills, share ideas and strengthen local action.

A number of upcoming sessions are now in the diary, covering advocacy, project planning, and digital and media skills.

The first workshop, Advocating for Your Community Group, will be led by Frances Gianquito. Following on from the recent Brave Conversations workshop, the session will explore how community groups can build confidence in speaking up, representing their members and advocating effectively for their communities. Refreshments will be provided.

October’s online webinar, Project Planning for Communities, will offer practical tips and tools to help groups turn good ideas into clear, achievable community projects. It will be particularly useful for volunteers and committee members who are planning activities, initiatives or local improvements.

The final workshop of the year, Digital & Media Skills, will build on the recent Digital Adoption webinar. Participants will explore practical ways to use digital and media tools to support their group’s work, communicate with their community and strengthen local engagement.

Connecting Clare Communities is an ongoing collaborative initiative that provides training, mentoring, workshops, networking and shared learning for groups throughout Clare. It supports areas including governance, fundraising, volunteer recruitment, digital confidence, collaboration and long-term sustainability.

Further details and registration information will be shared closer to each event.
